 YEAR 5: 2007-2008

Happr New Year and welcome back to Spring term 2008.

We have got a short term upto Easter but it is going to be action packed with lots of learning and hard work.

We have enjoyed the theatre group that showed us how to eat more healthily. We also enjoyed having the firemen in who showed us a safety video and let us look how their fire engine worked. We are waiting this week for a ROBOLAB workshop for Year 5. This covers vital skills in Science/ DT and ICT. Some of the Year 5 children completed this in Autumn term at Sellafield, they found it really exciting and worthwhile. Some of St. Benedicts pupils are also joining us to share the experience with Year 5 which will be great fun.

Year 5 are going sports crazy this term we have hockey, cricket and rugby training. Coaches are coming in to provide this training which will take place on Mondays and Thursdays (as part of our PE lessons) for the next four weeks. Please can you make sure your child has a suitable kit for these days.

* Just a reminder about Winmarleigh the dates are the 23rd-25th May, which is the first week of the half term holidays.

Last term we were discussing our learning in year 5 and here are some of the things we have said:
