For children in Miss.Fitzsimons' and Mrs.Mallard's Literacy groups, a termly spelling sheet is given out. Mrs.Troughton's group are given individual, relevant spellings on a weekly basis. They will be tested every Friday. Our homework timetable states that Monday nights are for learning spellings, with a check-up session on Thursday nights, but learning them gradually throughout the week is equally acceptable! There is a link to the termly spelling sheet at the bottom of this page.

HOME LEARNING

Easter Homework - learning address, job survey.

Homework is usually given out on a Thursday to be handed back in by Monday, or given out on Friday and handed in on Tuesday.

The full homework timetable is as follows:

Monday - reading and spellings.

Tuesday - reading.

Wednesday - reading and times tables (children need to be secure with the 2x, 5x and 10x tables and begin to learn the 3x, 4x, 6x).

Thursday - reading, checking up on spellings. Written homework is given out.

Weekend - complete written homework activity.

You and your child may prefer to do a short burst of spellings and times tables each night, rather than a longer spell on Monday and Wednesday nights.

Please ensure your child has appropriate P.E. kit for lessons on Wednesdays and Swimming kit for Mondays.
